As many of you know, I’ve been working on a new short film called Pastime with my friend Johnny Sikma. Even a short film is a massive undertaking, so I’m going to be taking a break from the regular monthly “Moving Projects” webcasts until later this fall (after Pastime releases).
Last week was production week for Pastime, which means we shot the entire film in the space of one week (8 filming days to be precise). It was an incredible week, full of amazing cinematography, brilliant acting, and lots of fun. The crew really hit the ground running on May 23 and worked nonstop to finish production by May 30. Over the next several weeks I’ll be releasing a series of featurettes that talk about the making of Pastime. Then in late June or early July we’ll release a trailer, and the film will premiere August 29.
